WeavingWoven fabrics are formed by interlacing of two yarn. The length wise yarn is called warp yarn and width wise yarn is called weft yarn. PROCESS OF WEAVING· WARPING The purpose of warping is to arrange threads in long length parallel to one another preparatory to further processing · SIZING Sizing means the operation of applying a special solution to warp yarn for strength and smoothness. · DRAWING-IN The process of drawing every warp end through its drop wire, heddle eye and reed dent can be performed manually or by means of automatic machines. · TYING-IN When fabric of a particular type is being mass-produced a new warp beams will be identical with the exhausted beams on loom. · SHEDDING Raising and lowering of warp yarns by the harnesses to make an opening for the filling yarn to pass through raised and lowered form of warp yarns is called shed. · PICKING Inserting filling yarn through the shed by the carrier device. · BEATING Pushing each loose yarn into the cloth by the reed, after the shuttle has moved through the shed. It gives the fabric firm and compact construction.
